At six months and beyond, you're seeing your rhinoplasty results as they're meant to be. The patience and care you've shown throughout your recovery has paid off.

What You're Seeing at 6 Months

• Bridge: Final shape achieved, smooth contour
• Tip: Definition fully visible, natural movement when smiling
• Nostrils: Symmetric, proportionate
• Profile: Balanced with other facial features
• Skin: Normal texture and colour

Subtle Refinement Continues

Between 6 and 12 months, very subtle changes may still occur. These are generally only noticeable to you and your surgeon. The tip may continue to refine slightly, and skin quality continues to improve.

Your 12-Month Review

We typically schedule a review appointment around the one-year mark. At this appointment:

• Final post-operative photographs will be taken
• Your result will be assessed against pre-operative goals
• Any remaining questions or concerns can be discussed
• Your before and after photos can be compared

Long-Term Care

Protecting Your Investment

Your rhinoplasty results are designed to last a lifetime. To protect them:

• Sun protection: Continue using SPF on your nose to prevent sun damage and maintain skin quality
• Trauma avoidance: While your nose is fully healed, significant trauma could still affect your result
• Skincare: Maintain a good skincare routine to keep the nasal skin healthy

Natural Ageing

Like all facial features, your nose will age naturally over time. However, the improvements made during rhinoplasty are permanent. The shape and structure will remain, though subtle changes occur with natural ageing over decades.

Revision Rhinoplasty

If after complete healing (12+ months) you have concerns about your result, revision rhinoplasty can be discussed. We recommend waiting at least one year before considering any revision to ensure all swelling has resolved and the final result is fully visible.
